Presentation

I obtained the PhD in Mathematics in December 2009 with the thesis Self-calibration of Projective and Generic Central Cameras, supervised by Dr. José Ignacio Burgos Gil , with a qualification of Excellent cum laude.
My doctoral research was mainly focused on the self-calibration of projective and generic (not necessarily central) cameras. As part of this research, I enjoyed the following internships abroad:

in 2004 (two months) and 2006 (one month) with Peter Sturm at MOVI and Perception, INRIA Rhône-Alpes;

in 2009 (three months) with Vincenzo Caglioti at DEI, Politecnico di Milano;

in 2010 (six months) with Fredrik Kahl at the Mathematical Imaging Group, LTH, Lunds Universitet.

In 2010-2011, I was a post-doc with Pascal Bertolino at GIPSA-lab working in MOOV3D, a project on mobile stereoscopic vision. Currently, I am at the Callisto project working on the application of perception principles and statistical methods (a contrario) to computer vision.
